Soft and subtle wave painting on cotton canvas.
From a child and into adulthood, my love for the ocean and the calming effect of water has been a constant throughout my life. I wanted to paint something realistic but stylised in a dreamlike fashion. I wanted the painting to display my technical skill as an artist but without overworking the detail and being too obsessive about each brush stroke. The focus is the wave. I want people to feel still when looking at the painting and to think of nothing else but relaxation and completeness.
