From 1699 to time immemorial, Baaz remains etched in the Sikh memory. In history and folklore during political or tense times, sighting Baaz is deemed a sign of the Guru Ji’s presence. Seeing the Baaz at historical gurudwaras (Sikh places of learning and worship) or where the history was unfolding, the Sikhs related it to the Baaz of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji witnessing their plight. That raised their morale to keep marching!
