The detail, integrity of the animal and links to aquatic ancestry made for fantastic painting. the piece took over a month to create. Even with the grid base, the scales of the beast pushed my artist craftsmanship to the limits. The reworking and intricate detail could only be created with a fine brush strokes and mechanical detailing and lots of patience. The artwork is mounted on stretched canvas and would make a great centre piece for the living room or a gift for any reptile enthusiast.
